Happy New Year

Wow! That's about all I can say! I haven't blogged since May! Where does time go? In all honesty, I haven't read many blog posts in a long time. I'm on facebook and mainly instagram A TON, but I just don't ever seem to have time to blog (or read blogs). I'm usually not one to do new years resolutions, but I have a few this year that I'm going to try!
In my personal life I'm going to TRY to:

1. Keep a checkbook register. 

Yep....that's right. I don't. Like I have no concept of money. No budget. Love to shop. It's bad. I occasionally get online and check my account (that I pay our mortgage and some of our bills out of) and when I'm almost out (WAY before I get paid).....I just transfer money from our other account. It's not healthy and I have no idea how much I spend. So...there is that! I'm going to attempt it through an app instead of "writing it in an old fashioned register", so if you have suggestions I would love to hear them!

2. Become healthier

I'd like to lose some weight but more importantly begin exercising CONSISTENTLY. Y'all I HATE to work out. I hate to sweat but I need to! I'm not going to do anything crazy like stop drinking my gallons of Diet Mt. Dew daily, but I need to eat healthier and lose some weight.

3. Stop scrolling through Facebook 

and Instagram 24/7. 

I feel I can catch up on all the social media without constantly being on it. I need to be more present when I'm with my family. 

As far as my business, I'm going to TRY:

1. Blog More

Not everyday but maybe every week. It's about time management. I go to bed early....like 9. If I could commit to staying up later, I might get more done.

2. Complete more TPT products.

I have TONS started, just none finished. EEK! I get distracted and start updating all units that I'm embarrassed about because they are like 4 years old and I've learned so much since then!

So, I hope you will hang in there with me! I hope to gain my followers back!

Read Across America

I love Read Across America Week! It's one of my favorite weeks (next to St. Patrick's Day week). Our school usually does a whole week of Dress up Days and have extra activities for March 2nd. Here is our schedule this year:

We will be doing my Happy Birthday Silly Cat centers in class.

Snow Days...Snow Days

Well....we are on our 8th snow day since Christmas break. Yes. I said 8th!

And y'all. Seriously. Seriously. They are calling for some snow tonight. And by some snow I mean about 1/2 an inch. That doesn't seem like much but in my rural town it's enough to close school! We have lots of rural roads to travel that don't get salted or plowed therefore making it hard for buses to travel. I just want to get in a routine. I just want a normal 5 day week! I really want a Valentine's Day party tomorrow...not next week sometime. I say sometime because we are supposed to get more snow on Sunday!!! AAAGH! Have you had any snow days? I know those up north laugh at how often we are out!
I've managed to accomplish a few things. I finally have letters A-M RTI units updated! I just completed the A-M bundle and placed it on TPT! That means I am 1/2 way through!

New Year, New Look

I am finally getting around to updating some of my older units. One of my goals this year has been to update all of my RTI units. Now......don't get excited! :) I've only done the letter Aa. I'm slowly but surely working on them. I'm almost embarrassed at how sad my first cover looked. I feel like I have really grown as a TPT seller and teacher. Check out the before and after!

  

I have used these in my classroom for 3 years now. At this point, we have learned all letters and sounds in my classroom and are working on short word families. As we all know, that won't work for everybody. I have one or two who need to slowly work through the alphabet. I am able to pull these units for classroom use, homework, or just extra review. I also have these units bundled. I hope to get these all done in the next month or so, but for now Aa is ready to go! :) 

Doesn't it just make you happy when your things get a makeover? They make me kind-of giddy! Have a great week!

TPT {Seller} Challenge

Let's be honest...I hadn't posted in 4 months until last week. I need something to get me in gear! :) Here is a look at my stats:

Facebook - I was in a Fourth of July hop a few years ago and my FB page blew up. I'm very thankful for that. Since then...FB has changed and I notice not as many people see my posts. I also need to be more interactive with my followers.
Instagram: I have a personal instagram...but not one for my blog. That is about to CHANGE!
Twitter: I signed up a few years ago...but I'm a little scared of twitter! :)
Pinterest: I use pinterest DAILY...but both my personal and blog are on the same account and I'm okay with that.
Bloglovin': I remember being SO excited that I finally had 1000 followers on Google...only to find out they were no longer going to do google. I was so upset! I love Bloglovin' so much more! :) Change is good!
TPT: I love my store...but I need to a pay more attention to it! :)

I'm super excited about the changes that will occur! I hope you will join too!!!

It's a Sale!

I'm sure you have heard about the Teachers Are Heroes sale tomorrow! Tomorrow also happens to be payday for me. Coincidence? I. Think. Not. :)

Fall Break, An Update, and More

Well, to say I had a relaxing fall break would be a lie. It was nothing but relaxing, but it was FUN! We went to Disney...our first time as a family! Blast! It was hot and we packed it all in. We got home Friday to the chilly weather, but I am loving it. Fall is my favorite season by far.
The week before we left, we did our apple unit. We had a fun filled apple day on Friday. (Unfortunately, my camera with the pictures is at school!)

This week we are starting our pumpkin unit! Lots of fun to be had! One thing we will definitely be starting is our Count of Halloween unit! I have updated this with SUPER cute clipart!

We are FINALLY on Spring break. My little booty is headed to Florida on Tuesday. After this horrible winter, my toes are DYING to be in the sand. Even though I'll be gone I have something exciting going on. I'm getting a new blog design on Wednesday. I LOVE it!!!! I'm off to enjoy this day!
