A Peek At My Week

I'm back for a Peek At My Week! Shocked I know! We actually ended up having 2 snow days last week, so a couple of the centers we moved to this week. Because of our 3 day week and little time to plan, we needed something quick and fast for this week...thank goodness for Annie Moffett's units!!! This week we are doing Short i word families from my Winter Word Family Units. I'm looking forward to a 5 day week and getting back into some sort of routine with these kiddos!

A Peek At My Week and Brrrrrr

So, I'm curious. What are you doing tomorrow? Are you headed back after the winter break? Have you already been back last week and you are start a full week tomorrow? Or...are you out for snow/cold? We should be headed back for our 1st full week tomorrow. (We went back Thursday and Friday.) HOWEVER....we have a snow/cold day. So as of Friday we were told 5-8 inches. We got maybe an inch, but...the wind chill is supposed to be -30 (and we NEVER have negatives here)! BRRRRRRR.
As soon as we do return, will begin my Winter Word Families in literacy centers.

We are going to begin working on short a family next week. This unit will last 5 weeks, as we go through each vowel! Same activities for each vowel so they know the expectations.

Peek At My Week and Updated Unit

This week we are on to Thanksgiving! I LOVE teaching Thanksgiving. It is so much fun! Here are my Literacy and Math stations for the week.

As you can see, we are doing my It's Turkey Time unit. I created this unit last year, but since I have fully implemented math and literacy centers full time, I needed a few more activities, so...it is DOUBLED!!! Yup! And guess what?? It is ON SALE through tomorrow night! Grab it while it's hot! It included 9 Literacy Centers and 9 Math Centers!

A Peek At My Week

I'm back for my weekly Peek At My Week. I have to say I am SO proud of myself for keeping up with this! This is a short week for us. Thank goodness our district had mercy on us and made the day after Halloween a PD day.... no crazy sugared up sweet kiddos! I decided to make a couple of changed to my plans for you to view. I took out the daily schedule with what I do whole group. I know that when I go to look at everyone's peek...I'm looking for center ideas. That is what I look at and often end up clicking on and purchasing. I felt like the first 2 pages were repetitive and I didn't have a lot of detail in them so - I thought I would try this. Please let me know if you like this or you would rather have the whole thing! I'm still tweaking and it isn't quite where I want it be yet!


 
Since it is a 4 day week, we aren't doing some centers twice (like usual). I'm looking forward to a CRAZY fun week! I'll be back later with pics from our red ribbon week!!!

A Peek At My Week and 2 FREEBIES!!!

Well, this week about whipped my booty! A return from a week at the beach, a 12 hour shift including parent/teacher conferences, a full moon, and a day FULL of pumpkins - whew! My body or brain was not ready for that. Thankfully, I have the sweetest class ever and they were very good! Here is my Peek at the Week. Lots of great units from my good blogging buddies!





I ADORE that Halloween writing from TGIF! I swear it is the cutest! Having said that...my kiddos aren't NEAR where my kiddos used to be at this time. We are implementing a new reading series and it is a lot slower than I have done in the past. It might be a little hairy...but we will get it!!!!

This week we are doing a fall/pumpkin theme before we break out the Halloween next week! We have lots of great activities planned with a whole PUMPKIN DAY on Friday. The kiddos are so excited about breaking the routine and doing pumpkin activities ALL DAY LONG!!!

A Peek At My Week

I am so excited to be participating in Mrs. Will's A Peek At My Week linky party!


 Here is what we are doing this week. (Click on the images below then download once in Google Docs to open links to products.) We only have 2 weeks until Fall Break!!!!



 
 
 
Our district requires us to complete a certain amount of computer programs a week. One is Headsprout (a wonderful reading program) and the other is Compass Odyssey (which is aligned to their MAP scores so it is differentiated).
 
For more on our Seasons activities click here. We are beginning our Count of Halloween book now because it takes a while to get through it and we are out the first full week of October for Fall Break.
 
I've got more to share, but got some planning to do before these little kiddos come in 30 minutes! Have a great week!
